Privacy — the app
Luma stores all your data (birth information, journal, life events, conversations) locally on your device, encrypted at rest. Luma operates no server, requires no account, and embeds no analytics or advertising SDK. AI conversations run on-device: through Apple Intelligence on iPhone, through Gemini Nano on Android. The only network exchanges are those operated by the platform: purchases through the App Store (StoreKit) or Google Play (Play Billing) and, on iPhone, your private iCloud backup if you enable it. On Android, the app requests no network permission at all, and automatic backup is limited to a small anti-abuse counter; your journal never leaves your device. You can erase all data from the app settings at any time; the erasure is immediate and final.
Privacy — this website
With your consent, this website uses Google Analytics to measure its audience: pages viewed, where visitors come from, approximate location (country or city) and device type. Nothing loads until you accept the cookie banner, and declining changes nothing about your visit. Acceptance is kept for six months; a refusal is kept for seven days, after which we ask again. You can change your choice anytime through the “Cookies” link in the footer, which also deletes the measurement cookies if you withdraw. Data is processed by Google Ireland Ltd on our behalf, is used solely to understand our audience and improve the site, and never serves advertising or cross-site profiling.
If you join the waitlist, your email address is used solely to announce the launch. Registration uses double opt-in: nothing is kept unless you click the confirmation link. The address and your language are stored on our own infrastructure in the EU (Google Cloud, Belgium region); confirmation emails are delivered through Brevo (EU processor), which stores no contact list for us. Every email contains a one-click unsubscribe link that deletes your address immediately, and the list itself is deleted after the launch announcement. Deletion also on request: contact@luma-app.com.
Your rights (GDPR)
Jungle Labs is the controller for the processing described on this page. Under the GDPR and the French Data Protection Act, you have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict, object to and port the data concerning you. To exercise these rights, write to contact@luma-app.com; we reply within one month. You can also lodge a complaint with the French supervisory authority, the CNIL (cnil.fr). Data inside the app is not affected: it stays on your device and we never have access to it.
