Is Luma a horoscope app?
No. Luma never predicts anything. It uses precise astronomical calculations as a mirror for self-reflection. What you observe in your own journal and your own story is what matters.
Do I need to install anything to try Luma?
No. Luma also runs in your browser at journal.luma-app.com: journal, birth chart, timeline and compatibilities, free and without an account. Everything is computed and stored locally in your browser. Conversations with Luma stay on the iPhone and Android apps.
Where is my data stored?
On your phone, encrypted. Luma has no server and no account system. On iPhone, an optional private iCloud backup is planned; on Android, your journal is never backed up to any cloud.
Does the AI send my journal to the cloud?
Never. Ask My Chart runs directly on your device, on Apple Intelligence or Gemini Nano. Your questions and your journal never touch a network.
Which devices are supported?
On Android, Luma runs on Android 8 or later, and the AI conversations need a Gemini Nano compatible device on Android 12 or later. On iPhone, Luma requires iOS 26, with AI on an Apple Intelligence iPhone (15 Pro or newer). Everything else works on every supported device.
Do I need to know my birth time?
It helps, since it unlocks your ascendant and houses, but it stays optional. Without it, Luma computes a partial chart and tells you so honestly.
